"Remembering Claudia Hidic" - what a farce!
Its sad how we in America "mourn" the death of a "pretty person" and disregard the facts. Fact is; this kid, along with fellow accomplices, broke into someone's house and attempted to rob them. Kids are kids and they do this kind of stuff all the time all over this country. Many get caught and learn a lesson. Some never learn their lesson and live lives of crime. Unfortunately for "poor Claudia", she won't be around to mull the virtue of the lesson she should have learned.
Is it really hard to believe that a high school girl could be so callous and manipulative to perpetrate an act like this? Odds are, if this was some random black kid or overweight & ugly child, this wouldnt be a top 10 story. But because the story chose a questionable lead-in image, we now get to listen to bleeding hearts over some dead girl.
And those photos chosen to show us "how special of a person she was"... From where I sit, I see a somewhat self absorbed child who probably needed discipline while being raised. She obviously had some degree of a sense of entitlement, why would she think she could walk into someone else's house and take things?
Maybe she'd have a bright life and future. Maybe she'd grow up and out of these phases of her life. Maybe she'd grow up to be a person who uses their beauty to manipulate people around her.
Who knows. Due to this persons string of bad decisions that led her into that house that day, no one will ever know. Thats not sad... thats life. This kind of thing happens every day in this country and unless I missed it, I have not see the website where each one of them gets a rankable, sharable photo montage proclaiming the joy of their existence.
I will apologize in advance to anyone I may have offended.
