I am of the opinion, and I think a lot of Americans share this opinion, that none of those f***ers in Washington are going to do anything truly meaningful in terms of remaking this great nation.
Well, I am tired of sitting around waiting for some mihole to drive up in his Town Car, walk into his plush office and put anything meaningful down on a piece of paper that will actually help, truly, restore the honor of this country. SO, I figured I would start to do it myself. Maybe some of you would join me in this effort? I honestly, don't always do all of these things every single day, but I do try to keep them at the front of my consciousness so I can look for any opportunity to do them.
Here are some of those things. Boy, I will tell you, if we all only did one of these things, each day, well, well that would be really interesting, wouldn't it.
Here we go.
1.Say Good Morning\Afternoon\Evening to any person you meet eyes with.
2.Allow a pedestrian to cross the street.
3.Allow a car to merge when on the highway.
4.Wave "Thank You" to a person that allows you to merge into traffic.
5.Wave "Thank You" to a car who stops and lets you cross the street.
6.Donate groceries valued at 5% of your shopping trip to charity.
7.If you have children, turn off the television for no less than 1 hour each day when your entire family is together in your house.
8.At the time you discard of trash in your house, separate it, as best you can, into; Paper, Plastic, Metal, Glass, Food waste. Since the food waste is biodegradable, you would be surprised at how little you throw out in general garbage.
9.Drive at the speed limit or with the flow of traffic.
10.Donate your old clothes if they are in wearable condition.
11."plant" one Plant somewhere that it could grow.
12.Do not throw away batteries, take them to Home Depot or Lowes where they can be recycled.
There is usually a receptacle right up near the returns desk.
13.Shop at a local merchants place of business. Forgo the dollar or two savings in an effort to keep your surrounding community alive.
I mean, do you like seeing those empty office and retail buildings? Do you want to see more?
14.buy local produce. Mangoes aren't native to your area.
15.If you have a choice between an American and Foreign made product, and the quality is comparable, but the American product cost a little more, buy American.
16.If you see someone struggling to do something you could easily do for them, help them.
17.Be thankful you have a job, if you do. Be thankful you have food and water, if you do.
18.If you are in a disagreement with someone, consider the possibility that you might be wrong, or, are not fully correct.
Well, that is my list for now. I have a ton of other little things I try to do everyday, but some of them are redundant or just plain out there, so I think I will keep them to myself.
